Your employee selection process is one of the most strategic and valuable places you can cut costs and maximize productivity. This is especially true if your process works correctly the first time. Utilizing a proven employee screening system is crucial to ensuring that your selection process works effectively. Careful employee pre-screening can drastically decrease the number of inappropriate individuals that end up on the payroll.
Benefits of Assessments in Pre-Employment
- Reduce hiring mistakes
- Accelerate the hiring process
- Improve hiring precision
- Minimize cost of theft, violence and absenteeism
- Get the right talent for the right position
Improve Hiring and Screening
Customized interview questions that are prepared specifically for your candidate based upon their assessment results can help you avoid incompatible candidate matches, save time and make the hiring process more effective. You want to determine if the candidate is going to be a good fit for the job, and a match for the company's culture. Use a report that provides questions that are worded in an open-ended manner to stimulate discussion, reduce litigation risks, and conduct the most effective interview for each candidate. The customized interview questions can be used in tandem with the insights provided by the employee assessments to further assist the employer in making a well-informed hiring decision.
Decisions leading to satisfying solutions for the challenges you face are based on having accurate facts, statistics and numbers. A valuable function of employee assessments is their presentation of objective, quantified data about employees. This data is invaluable when solving people problems. A recent study showed that the correlation between the ability to deliver well in a job interview and the ability to do well on the job is just 14 percent. This is equivalent of finding one good employee out of every seven people you interview. This chart illustrates that the more information you have about a person the better your odds become in making an informed and successful hire.
